Beginner Stained Glass - “Cut, Fit, Shine”

Step into the colourful world of stained glass where the physics of light and refraction meet the magic of colour and composition resulting in visually stunning artwork. This is a beginner friendly workshop, no experience necessary - just a love for creativity and hands-on learning. The class runs for 5-6

hours. You’ll choose from a selection of beautiful beginner patterns and a vibrant array of glass colours to create your very own stained glass sun catcher. You’ll learn the basics of cutting, foiling, and soldering glass in a safe and supportive environment.

Class sizes are small to allow plenty of one-on-one time. There will be six main patterns to choose from as well as a large variety of different coloured and textured glass that will allow students to complete their own unique and beautiful sun catcher to

take home.

Students wanting to continue with their learning can follow up with an intermediate course that will cover larger and more difficult patterns.

What to Bring: lunch, closed-toed shoes, comfortable old clothing (aprons are available)

Cancelation Policy: 

If OKFS must cancel a course, the student will receive a full refund or a credit towards a future course of their choosing. Students who wish a refund of any payments made for that course should contact the OKFS office at info@okfolkschool.ca. Students who cancel their enrollment more than 7 days prior to the first day of the course and request a refund will receive a refund less a 5% cancellation fee to cover the credit card costs. In recognition of the time and energy instructors invest in preparing for courses, students who cancel their enrollment 6 days or less prior to the first day of the course are not eligible for a refund. Students who do not show up to a course and have not notified OKFS are not eligible for refund.
