An Introduction to Calligraphy - Word Play – Versals

This is a beginner class with an introduction to playing with lettering styles.

For this upcoming class we will be studying a type of design called “Versals” which will allow you to use your own hand, printing or cursive or both. Please find a quote between 3 – 8 lines long and bring that to class. The longer the quote the more challenging the project becomes.

Young adult or older

Minimum 4, maximum of 10

Course Materials:

Paper and Gel pen will be provided. Please bring pencil crayons, ruler, eraser, pencil, and pencil sharpener. There will be supplies at the class so please do not go out and purchase, bring what you have, or we can share.

Custom Courses

Course Cancellations

If OKFS must cancel a course, the student will receive a full refund or a credit towards a future course of their choosing. Students who wish a refund of any payments made for that course should contact the OKFS office at info@okfolkschool.ca.

Students who cancel their enrollment more than 7 days prior to the first day of the course and request a refund will receive a refund less a 4% cancellation fee to cover the credit card costs. In recognition of the time and energy instructors invest in preparing for courses, students who cancel their enrollment 6 days or less prior to the first day of the course are not eligible for a refund. Students who do not show up to a course and have not notified OKFS are not eligible for a refund.
