Bug House workshop for kids & adults who think they are kids

This is a hands-on course where we will be building our own personal bug hotel with things that can be found in nature. This will be a house for ants, ladybugs, spiders, all kinds of bees, centipedes, snail slugs etc.

The house frame will be prebuilt, but we will be adding the median and covering it with chicken wire. We will be walking you through the process from start to finish.

Proficiency Level:

The age is 10 + or younger with parents help

Number of Students:

Minimum 5, maximum of 12

What to Bring: 

You are welcome to bring gloves if you like but we will have tools available for all.

Please bring your creativity, positive attitude, and willingness to learn. We look forward to seeing you there!

Materials are provided by the instructors.

Workshop Cancellations

If OKFS must cancel a workshop, the student will receive a full refund or a credit towards a future workshop of their choosing. Students who wish a refund of any payments made for that course should contact the OKFS office at info@okfolkschool.ca.

Students who cancel their enrollment more than 7 days prior to the first day of the course and request a refund will receive a refund less a 4% cancellation fee to cover the credit card costs. In recognition of the time and energy instructors invest in preparing for courses, students who cancel their enrollment 6 days or less prior to the first day of the course are not eligible for a refund. Students who do not show up to a workshop and have not notified OKFS are not eligible for a refund.
