Collage Quilting

This is a 2 day Workshop, March 13th and 14th, 10am - 4pm each day.

Gisela will lead you through and intense 2 day workshop using your own images. In this class participants will need to think “out of the box”. You will not need your sewing machine in class. We will be able to learn from each other and students will learn a little colour theory and depth of field. Upon completion you will have a complete knowledge of the collage quilting process.

Not everyone will have the base finished at the end of 2 days. There will be a lot of thinking required and a lot of fun will be had.

Students will learn how to make their own pattern and/or work form the image. There is some work required prior to class. Everyone will need to have their own image printed on paper to the size of their project. The pieces that we are making should be no larger than 18” x 24”. Gisela will need to have images sent to her prior to the course from each student to determine which would be the best image for learning purposes.

Student Prerequisites:

They will also need to bring many scrap fabric and at least 2 meters of :Steam a Seam Lite)Photo sent to me in advance to determine if it is suitable. Enlargement made on paper( not on photo paper ) to the size of their quilt. Not be bigger than 16" x20".

Material Fee:

The cost for "Steam a Seam Light" should students run out will be $18.00/meter
