Scrappy Birds Basics

Your instructor is Shauna McKenney 

Your creativity is all that needed for this fun-filled 2 hr. mini workshop will introduce you to all the basics of Tiffany style-stained glass. We will cover glass cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering. You will be able to choose from a vast selection of colours, textures, shapes, and types of stained glass to design a 2–3-piece Scrappy Bird that can then be decorated and embellished using wire. You will leave with your very own unique creation that will make you smile for years to come.

Proficiency Level:

Beginner Course for people not familiar with stained glass crafting. The Intermediate Course will be for any students that take the beginner course and are interested in further learning.

Number Of Students:

Minimum of 2, maximum of 4

Course Materials:

All use of tools, glass, and materials will be provided and are included in the course fees.  Students will need to have closed toe shoes (no sandals or flip flops).  Safety glasses are mandatory.

Course Cancellations

If OKFS must cancel a course, the student will receive a full refund or a credit towards a future course of their choosing. Students who wish a refund of any payments made for that course should contact the OKFS office at info@okfolkschool.ca.

Students who cancel their enrollment more than 7 days prior to the first day of the course and request a refund will receive a refund less a 4% cancellation fee to cover the credit card costs. In recognition of the time and energy instructors invest in preparing for courses, students who cancel their enrollment 6 days or less prior to the first day of the course are not eligible for a refund. Students who do not show up to a course and have not notified OKFS are not eligible for a refund.
