Stepping into Spring

Course Description: 

Step into spring with this fun-filled 4hr. workshop where you will have many pattern choices design and create your very own unique garden stepping stone. There will be a vast variety of colours, textures, and styles of glass to choose from. Students will learn how to cut and grind the glass into desired shapes and then learn how to transfer the glass into 12” round molds. We will then pour the concrete and reinforcement mesh and projects will sit overnight and will be available for pick up the following morning. Arrangements can be made for those not able to pick up the next day. 

For anyone not able to come back after the workshop, you will have the option of purchasing the mold (for $10) and taking your project home the day of the workshop.

Proficiency Level: 

This course is designed for all levels aged 12 yrs +. 

Number Of Students: 

Minimum of 1, maximum of 3 

Course Length: Course will be from 10am-2pm (3pm if needed)

Course Materials: All use of tools, glass, and materials will be provided and are included in the course fees. Students need to be wearing closed toed shoes (no flip flops or sandals). Safety glasses are mandatory (students can bring their own or they can be provided).

Course Cancellations 

If OKFS must cancel a course, the student will receive a full refund or a credit towards a future course of their choosing. Students who wish a refund of any payments made for that course should contact the OKFS office at info@okfolkschool.ca. Students who cancel their enrollment more than 7 days prior to the first day of the course and request a refund will receive a refund less a 4% cancellation fee to cover the credit card costs. In recognition of the time and energy instructors invest in preparing for courses, students who cancel their enrollment 6 days or less prior to the first day of the course are not eligible for a refund. Students who do not show up to a course and have not notified OKFS are not eligible for a refund.
