Trista Bassett has been an artist since childhood. She specialized in art in high school, followed by the studio arts program at Capilano College.  After taking a hiatus from the art world to follow an education in the sciences (I know, it sounds odd!), she found herself as Executive Director of Gallery Vertigo in Vernon in 2012 where she taught a variety of art classes, including youth and children’s art and various crafts.  She is now the General Manager of the Ryga Arts Festival, teaching felting and other workshops in Summerland, BC.  She is also a musician, composer, wife, cat-mom and (odd again) pharmacy assistant!
