About the event
In this workshop with Nikki, participants will make a pouch using scrap fabric and a sewing style called slow stitching. This is a great way to use up all the small bits you keep but don’t know what to do with. You will be provided with a template for the pouch and instructions on layering the fabric, and sewing it down with different embroidery techniques. We will talk about scrap placement and colour composition. This workshop is a great introduction to slow stitching and can be used for many other projects including mending.
Feel free to bring your own scraps and embroidery floss, but this is not a requirement. The instructor will bring lots of bits and bob to choose from.
