About the event
Learn to weave by making a coaster with Nikki. Mug rugs are a great way to learn the basics of weaving and experiment with different techniques. In the class you will be shown how to create a simple loom out of cardboard. You will be showing the basic weave stitch, how to change colours, and how to finish your rug. There may be time in the class to complete 2 mug rugs depending on size and proficiency.
Cardboard looms are very versatile and can be used to make wall hangings, bags, and other small objects. These projects are a great way to use up scraps and play with colour and texture. This class is suitable for ages 10 and up.

Cancelation Policy:
If OKFS must cancel a course, the student will receive a full refund or a credit towards a future course of their choosing. Students who wish a refund of any payments made for that course should contact the OKFS office at info@okfolkschool.ca. Students who cancel their enrollment more than 7 days prior to the first day of the course and request a refund will receive a refund less a 5% cancellation fee to cover the credit card costs. In recognition of the time and energy instructors invest in preparing for courses, students who cancel their enrollment 6 days or less prior to the first day of the course are not eligible for a refund. Students who do not show up to a course and have not notified OKFS are not eligible for a refund.
